To the average coffee drinker, cupping coffee is something that looks like something only hoity toity highbrow coffee cognoscenti would do, but it’s really not and it’s something easy and worthwhile to do at home. Coffee professionals use cupping as a means to taste a lot of coffee without sitting down and brewing up 100 cups at a time. When you have 3-4 coffees open at home, it’s a fantastic way to appreciate all the differences and similarities between coffees and a great way to tune your palate.
